The year is winding to a halt. Yesterday, Mom started taking down the Christmas decorations. The green garlands are being folded into boxes, the angel and snowman collections layered in tissue paper, and the growing collection of yearly family photos disappear into the attic for another year. Dad called me downstairs while he was taking down our LED lights off the Christmas tree. He knew I was having a hard time figuring out a photo for my long exposure topic. We went into the dark dining room, I set up my brand new tripod, and set my shutter speed o 3.2 seconds. I watched the results, strings of brightly colored light as Dad turned during the photo.
Its a little sad to see all the lights get packed away for the year. There’s only two days left of my photo challenge, only two days left before a new year.
